Team Hedley-Gray dressage is ran by Laura from her home at Banesley Lane Farm. The yard is only 1 mile from the A1 and 6 miles south of Newcastle, on the outskirts of Gateshead. It is an ideal competition base for the keen rider offering a relaxed yard with fantastic facilities, and superb access to all main roads.
Laura Hedley-Gray has ridden competitively in many different spheres from a very young age. Her competition career has taken her from local gymkhana's on the lead rein, through Pony Club and Riding Club, to showing and working hunter ponies, and finally to British Eventing and British Dressage. Laura made the swap from eventing to dressage in 2010 after being selected to represent England and the Northern Team at the Home International. Laura finished individual 5th in the Novice with her horse Otis. Since then she has competed at the Summer & Winter Regionals, Petplan Area Festivals, the Winter Championships, the Summer Nationals, and the Home International in 2011 and 2012. Laura currently trains with International 3* dressage judge Clive Halsall and multi National title holder, and former pupil of Carl Hester, Jo Hamilton who is based in Edinburgh. The dressage yard is ran alongside Laura's other business, the K9 Creche, providing daycare for dogs. The creche was opened in 2011 to enable Laura to pursue her outdoor lifestyle 100%. She has since increased the number of competing horses which she owns and has more time to offer lessons and schooling. Whether you are a pleasure rider who wishes to gain a little more knowledge and confidence, or a competitive person wishing to improve your performance in dressage or eventing, Laura will be able to help you with your goal. Please see livery or lessons/schooling pages for more info. |
